Day By Day

Day 1: Welcome to Kilimanjaro - Your Unforgettable Journey Begins!
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where our friendly representative eagerly awaits your arrival. Feel the warm African hospitality as you are transferred to your comfortable hotel. Enjoy cozy rooms, hot water, a refreshing swimming pool, and internet access. In the evening, our experienced managers will brief you, ensuring you are fully prepared for the thrilling climb ahead.
Day 2: Trekking from Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Your incredible journey begins as our expert guide and dedicated mountain support crew greet you at your hotel. After a quick and informative briefing, we'll whisk you away to Kilimanjaro National Park's entrance - the iconic Machame Gate. Complete the necessary formalities, secure climbing permits, and register with the search and rescue service before setting foot on the trail to Machame Camp. Day 1 on the Machame Route takes you through a lush rainforest, where tropical showers might surprise you. Be prepared with spare clothes and a raincoat to fully embrace this magical rainforest experience.
Day 3: Trekking from Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Rise and shine to embark on a breathtaking journey to the second high-altitude camp - Shira Camp. As you leave the rainforest behind, you will be treated to awe-inspiring views of the magnificent Shira Plateau, a sight that will forever be etched in your memory. While the trek is not overly challenging, the change in altitude requires careful pacing. Take your time to acclimatize, and we will ensure a delightful lunch and rest at Shira Camp. An acclimatization hike to Lava Tower Camp awaits, further preparing you for the ascent.
Day 4: Shira to Barranco Camp via an Ascent to the Lava Tower
After a delicious breakfast, we depart Shira Camp and head toward the renowned Lava Tower. While the trek presents some challenges, reaching the 4,600m/15,092ft altitude is vital for proper acclimatization. Enjoy lunch at the top of the Lava Tower, granting you extra time at high altitude before descending to the fascinating Barranco Camp. Feast your eyes on the awe-inspiring Barranco Wall, an impressive sight that you'll conquer the next day with ease.
Day 5: Trekking from Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Embrace an early start to avoid crowding while ascending the Barranco Wall. Although it appears formidable, fear not! Our expert guides will lead you through a simple hiking trail, offering stunning photo opportunities with Kibo Peak in the backdrop. The day continues with a mix of ups and downs, tailored to each trekker's pace. After a revitalizing lunch at Karanga Camp, an acclimatization hike towards Barafu Camp awaits, ensuring you are well-prepared for the journey ahead.
Day 6: Trekking from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast before heading to Barafu Summit Camp. Our team will ensure your camp is ready with cozy tents and sleeping bags upon your arrival. Rest, recharge, and take an acclimatization climb to Kosovo Summit Camp at 4,800m/15,748ft. Afterward, return to Barafu Camp for a nourishing dinner. Rest and sleep well to prepare for the exhilarating summit push later that night.
Day 7: Summiting on Uhuru Peak and Descent to Millennium Camp
Prepare for an unforgettable adventure as you commence the summit trek around midnight. This extraordinary climb from 4,673m/15,331ft to the magnificent Uhuru Peak at 5,895m/19,340ft requires determination and resilience. Our attentive guides will accompany you in pairs, ensuring your safety and monitoring your well-being throughout the ascent. Celebrate your triumph at the summit and take a thrilling walk to the nearest glacier. After a 2-hour rest at Barafu Camp, descend to Millennium Camp.
Day 8: Descent from Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate
Enjoy a well-deserved rest and satisfaction from reaching the summit. Relish a hearty breakfast before descending to the lower altitude of 1,640m/5,380ft, arriving at Mweka Gate. A warm celebration with the entire climbing crew awaits, where you will receive your well-earned climb certificates. Finally, we will transport you back to your hotel for a comfortable and relaxing conclusion to this remarkable adventure.
Day 9: Departure
Take a day of rest at the hotel, cherishing the unforgettable memories of your Kilimanjaro adventure. When it's time, we'll provide a seamless transfer to the airport, bidding farewell to an extraordinary journey. Relish the sense of achievement and carry the spirit of Kilimanjaro in your heart forever!

  • Park Fees: All Park fees collected by Kilimanjaro National Park (conservation fees, camping fees,crew
  • Accommodation one night before and one night after the expedition.
  • For all routes except Marangu: Tented accommodation on Mount Kilimanjaro (modern,comfortable 4-season tents).
  • Special for Marangu route: Accommodation in huts. The allocation of huts is ruled by the rangers of the national park. We will do our best to arrange separate huts for our groups, but during busy months, you are likely to share huts with climbers from other groups.
  • Please note that, by default, you will share a room and a tent with your travel companion. If you travel solo on a group expedition, we will room you with a same-sex participant. Single supplement is available upon request.
  • Breakfast in the hotel before and after the hike.
  • All meals on the hike. You will find delicious, energy-rich meals on our mountain menus. Our professional chefs will prepare assorted soups, garnishes, several types of fish and meat, fresh fruit, and vegetables. Vegetarian/gluten-free/halal options are available at no extra cost.
  • All drinks on the hike (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water).
  • Hiking and safety equipment:
  • 4-inch (10-cm) thick and comfortable sleeping mats.
  • All group equipment (dining tent, table, chairs, crockery, and cutlery).
  • Oxygen cylinders and oximeters.
  • Complete medical kits.
  • Professional guides licensed by Kilimanjaro National Park. All guides are holders of Wilderness
  • First Responder certification. All of them have 5+ years of successful experience.
  • Dedicated support crew (assistant guides, camp master, porters, cooks, etc.).
  • Taxes: 18% VAT, 1% TDL, and 0.3% Service Levy.

  • International flights.
  • Tips (250-300 USD per climber for the whole mountain crew).
  • Visa fee (100 USD for American citizens and 50 USD for all others).
  • Personal gear rentals.
  • Lunch and dinner at the hotel (before and after the climb).
  • Portable toilets (if required – 250 USD per unit, one can be shared between 3 people). Portable toilets are not available on the Marangu route.
  • Mountaineering insurance. You’ll need special insurance for climbing Kilimanjaro that covers
