Day By Day

Day 1: Welcome to Kilimanjaro - Your Unforgettable Journey Begins!
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where our friendly representative eagerly awaits your arrival. Feel the warm African hospitality as you are transferred to your comfortable hotel. Enjoy cozy rooms, hot water, a refreshing swimming pool, and internet access. In the evening, our experienced managers will brief you, ensuring you are fully prepared for the thrilling climb ahead.
Day 2: Embark on a Rainforest Odyssey to Machame Camp
Greet your expert guide and mountain support crew at the hotel in the morning. Together, you'll head to the Kilimanjaro National Park's entrance at Machame Gate. After obtaining climbing permits and registering with the search and rescue service, your exhilarating trek through the lush rainforest begins. Tropical showers may greet you along the way, so we recommend carrying a raincoat. Your journey to Machame Camp offers stunning scenery and takes you to an elevation of 3,010 meters, providing an incredible start to your adventure.
Day 3: Reaching New Heights - Shira Plateau and Acclimatization Hike
Start your day with a hearty breakfast before trekking to Shira Camp. Leave the rainforest behind and be amazed by the awe-inspiring views of the vast Shira Plateau. Though not too challenging, the altitude changes require a mindful pace, ensuring a comfortable and successful ascent. After reaching the camp, you'll enjoy a well-deserved lunch and some rest before embarking on an essential acclimatization hike towards Lava Tower Camp, where you'll gain 400 meters in altitude. Returning to Shira Camp, a delicious hot dinner awaits.
Day 4: Conquering Lava Tower and Descending to Barranco Camp
Fuel up with breakfast as you prepare to leave Shira Camp for Lava Tower. This section of the route offers both ascents and descents, testing your abilities and acclimatization. Spend at least 1-2 hours at Lava Tower to adjust to the altitude and relish lunch with stunning views. Then, descend to Barranco Camp, where the impressive Barranco Wall awaits your ascent the next day. Fear not, as our guides ensure a safe and exciting climb.
Day 5: Ascend the Barranco Wall - Marvel at Kibo Volcano
Rise early to begin your climb up the Barranco Wall. Start early to avoid crowds and enjoy a hike that takes about an hour. As you reach the top, capture breathtaking photos with the majestic Kibo Volcano in the background. The journey continues to Karanga Camp, featuring several ascents and descents, perfectly paced by our expert guides. After a warm lunch, you will head to Barafu Camp, where a hot dinner awaits. Rest and sleep, preparing for the night summit.
Day 6: Conquer Uhuru Peak - A Life-Changing Experience
Tonight is the big night! Depart from Barafu Camp under the starry sky and ascend towards the ultimate goal - Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters! Your experienced personal guide will accompany you, monitoring your condition throughout the ascent. The climb may be technically simple, but the high altitude makes it an extraordinary challenge. After a triumphant summit, you can even descend to the nearest glacier if you wish. Rest at Barafu Camp for two hours before continuing your descent to Millennium Camp.
Day 7: Descend through Tropical Rainforest - Congratulations, You Did It!
Wake up in Millennium Camp, feeling the relief of reduced altitude and the pride of summiting Kilimanjaro. After a delightful breakfast, embark on the final leg of your journey towards Mweka Gate, the park's exit. Gather with the whole group to celebrate your achievement, leaving your thoughts in the guestbook. Receive your well-deserved commemorative certificates at our office before we transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 8: Farewell to Kilimanjaro - Cherish the Memories Forever
Take a day of rest at the hotel, cherishing the unforgettable memories of your Kilimanjaro adventure. When it's time, we'll provide a seamless transfer to the airport, bidding farewell to an extraordinary journey. Relish the sense of achievement and carry the spirit of Kilimanjaro in your heart forever!

  • Park Fees: All Park fees collected by Kilimanjaro National Park (conservation fees, camping fees,crew
  • Accommodation one night before and one night after the expedition.
  • For all routes except Marangu: Tented accommodation on Mount Kilimanjaro (modern,comfortable 4-season tents).
  • Special for Marangu route: Accommodation in huts. The allocation of huts is ruled by the rangers of the national park. We will do our best to arrange separate huts for our groups, but during busy months, you are likely to share huts with climbers from other groups.
  • Please note that, by default, you will share a room and a tent with your travel companion. If you travel solo on a group expedition, we will room you with a same-sex participant. Single supplement is available upon request.
  • Breakfast in the hotel before and after the hike.
  • All meals on the hike. You will find delicious, energy-rich meals on our mountain menus. Our professional chefs will prepare assorted soups, garnishes, several types of fish and meat, fresh fruit, and vegetables. Vegetarian/gluten-free/halal options are available at no extra cost.
  • All drinks on the hike (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water).
  • Hiking and safety equipment:
  • 4-inch (10-cm) thick and comfortable sleeping mats.
  • All group equipment (dining tent, table, chairs, crockery, and cutlery).
  • Oxygen cylinders and oximeters.
  • Complete medical kits.
  • Professional guides licensed by Kilimanjaro National Park. All guides are holders of Wilderness
  • First Responder certification. All of them have 5+ years of successful experience.
  • Dedicated support crew (assistant guides, camp master, porters, cooks, etc.).
  • Taxes: 18% VAT, 1% TDL, and 0.3% Service Levy.

Exclude

  • International flights.
  • Tips (250-300 USD per climber for the whole mountain crew).
  • Visa fee (100 USD for American citizens and 50 USD for all others).
  • Personal gear rentals.
  • Lunch and dinner at the hotel (before and after the climb).
  • Portable toilets (if required – 250 USD per unit, one can be shared between 3 people). Portable toilets are not available on the Marangu route.
  • Mountaineering insurance. You’ll need special insurance for climbing Kilimanjaro that covers
