Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater
On the second day of your safari in Tanzania, rise early and depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area from Arusha. Enjoy the ride as the route goes across the Great Rift Valley, past the crater forest, and finally to the impressive Ngorongoro Crater, your destination. It's easy to understand why this extinct volcano is one of Tanzania's most popular tourist sites. The crater, one of Africa's Seven Natural Wonders, is teeming with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and even the endangered black rhino. It also has Africa's largest concentration of species. Experience nature at its best as you explore the distinctive environment from the safety and comfort of your own private safari vehicle. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area provides a wide range of Tanzania activities beyond game drives, such as seeing a typical Maasai settlement. 3.6 million years ago, the Laetoli Footprint, the earliest known early human footprint, was discovered. Day 3: Tarangire National Park
Enjoy a sumptuous fresh breakfast as the sun rises before continuing on to your next Tanzanian destination: the Tarangire National Park for a full day of wildlife viewing, after an action-packed day in the Ngorongoro Crater. Expect to see few other visitors when visiting one of the less popular national parks in the area, and you'll have lots of private time to watch spectacular herds of elephants ambling through the distinctive Baobab trees. The Tarangire offers unrivaled opportunities for elephant sightings since it is home to the biggest number of wild elephants in the world. Up to 300 elephants in a herd may occasionally be spotted drinking from the Tarangire River's shallows or taking a refreshing mud bath. Tarangire is a haven for bird enthusiasts in addition to being home to elephants. Additionally, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and even snakes that can scale trees can be seen in the vicinity of these marshes. Become familiar with Tarangire National Park. The Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, situated in one of the most picturesque areas of the Tarangire region and providing breathtaking views over the Tarangire savannah, is the perfect place to unwind after your five-day Tanzania safari.
